Best practice is for each resident to call in and report the outage. Tell your neighbors to do the same. If We Energies receives numerous calls in a neighborhood, the issue will be escalated to another level, as each call is tracked. Frequency of outages is also monitored. It is advised to call in every time you experience an outage. Also, residents can ask to speak to a person instead of just the automated system, and someone who handles this region specifically will call him/her back.
