WELCOME
The Town of Lisbon, established in 1836, encompasses 26 square miles in north central Waukesha County. The town is intimately tied to the surrounding communities of Sussex, Merton, Pewaukee and Hartland. These communities currently provide commercial and social destinations for the residents of Lisbon as Lisbon is 90% residential. The residents can also enjoy the amenities offered by a large metropolitan area with the City of Milwaukee being a 30 minute drive. To this day the charm of Lisbon lies in its rural landscape with rolling hills, old growth woodlands and scenic country roads. The Town is currently working on a zoning plan that will enable Lisbon to keep its rural landscape and still accommodate its growing population which now stands at 9898.
